Required for January 2020
Teacher of Science - Permanent
Sir Jonathan North is an outstanding learning community based in the outskirts of Leicester City. Our uniqueness is as a result of being the only multi faith girls’ school in Leicester; our diverse cohort of students is reflective of the city as a whole. Our excellent outcomes have led to Sir Jonathan North becoming a National Support School and Teaching School and more recently, achieving the World Class Schools Quality Mark.
In 2018, our Progress 8 score of +0.42 placed Sir Jonathan North in the top 20% of all schools nationally and the College’s science results are above national and have been for the last three years. We are particularly looking for a physics specialist but will consider any discipline.
This is an opportunity for a passionate and enthusiastic, newly qualified or experienced teacher to join a strong and successful Science team.
- well motivated students
- a successful and supportive team
- an attractive working environment
- an excellent CPD programme.
The successful teacher will be an excellent classroom practitioner who is able to engage and motivate; have a clear commitment to raising standards and aspirations to enable students to achieve their best.
