Anti-Bullying Week

This week assemblies have had an anti-bullying focus. Please find the two assemblies (attached) and the videos shown below:

Years 7 and 8- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAmVkVEmOP4&feature=youtu.be

Years 9, 10 and 11- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idyXOMAZOUg

The theme for this week's Anti-bullying week is Change starts with us! Students have been challenged to be kinder to themselves and to others and to be Upstanders.

Small change. Big difference.

Whether it is verbal, physical, online or in-person, bullying has a significant impact.

By making small, simple changes, we can break this cycle and create a safe and happier environment for everyone.

Because Together, we can challenge bullying. Change starts with a conversation. It starts with checking in. It starts with working together.

Change starts here.
Change starts now.
Change starts with us.

There will be lots of activities going on for anti-bullying week during the week of 11th-15th November.

We are asking students and staff to wear their odd socks! It’s an opportunity to encourage people to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and what makes us all unique!

Odd Socks Day 12 November 2019

Staff and students are wearing odd socks today for Anti-bullying week!

Today staff and students at SJNC are wearing odd socks in support of anti-bullying week which is taking place this week (11th-15th November)

WHAT IS ODD SOCKS DAY?

Odd Socks Day forms part of Anti-Bullying Week. It is a chance to celebrate that we are all unique. Millions of children, young people and adults will be taking part across the country.

The day sends an important message to people that they should be allowed to be themselves free from bullying and helps us celebrate Anti-Bullying Week in a fun and positive way.
