Gopher Science Leader Day
On 20 June, we hosted a Gopher Science Leader day for 135 Year 6 children from nine different primary schools.
Our Year 9 Science Leaders, along with Science Leaders from two other secondary schools, did a wide range of experiments with the children. These included making cornflour slime, discovering how butterflies drink and testing how well we could smell. The event culminated in an explosive show on the science of fireworks by the pyrotechnician Matthew Tosh. It was a fun-packed day and loved by staff, students and visitors.
