Students Enjoy Matilda Performance

On Wednesday 14 March, 60 Expressive Arts students attended a performance of Matilda at Curve, Leicester. The Road Dahl classic is about about an extraordinary little girl who, armed with a vivid imagination and a sharp mind, dares to take a stand and change her own destiny.

The production was full of amazing acting and the dance routines really inspired our students. During the interval everyone reflected on their favourite moments and characters with Lavender being a very popular choice! The girls were amazed by how such a young cast could remember all of their lines and wow an audience in this way. They laughed at various moments, especially when Mr Wormwood bleaches his hair green and Mrs Trunchball is defeated by the school children!

Some students are obviously big fans of Matilda as they knew all of the words to quite a few of the songs.

Asmita  7.1 said, ‘ I really enjoyed the musical because it was fun-filled and extremely funny. The show was really enjoyable.’

An amazing evening enjoyed by all.
