Mind Matters Conference

Three Year 10 students had a fantastic time at the Mind Matters conference.

We had an amazing time on Wednesday 8 November when we were able to attend a Mental Health conference at the City Hall in Leicester. We were able to see how mental health affects so many people all around our city and some of the statistics were truly staggering. It opened our eyes to the many ways we can help people who may be suffering with a mental illness around our school with one of the most insightful parts of the day being when we were given the task to create a ‘bully proof school’ – with bullying proving to be a crucial factor affecting mental wellbeing. We have been inspired to start implementing some of these plans into our school to help us become an even happier environment.
