We recognise that some of our students have individual needs, which may affect their learning achievements.

At Sir Jonathan North Community College, we have a team of teachers and teaching assistants trained to support students with:

  • general and specific learning difficulties
  • speech and language difficulties
  • English as an additional language
  • sensory support for hearing or visual disabilities
  • behavioural needs
  • students with other additional needs

The support team works in partnership with mainstream teachers, parents and outside agencies to raise the learning achievements of all students across the curriculum.

We provide a range of support with varied resources. This may be within the classroom environment, a small group situation or an individual 1:1 session within our faculty.
